Meet our Senior Sales Representative, Tristine Lam
October 16 2024 9:53 AMTristine joined Homebase as a sales representative after working in the biomedical field with medical equipment sales. In her free time, she likes watching movies, playing games, or simply relaxing.
In this interview, we'll learn more about Tristine's experience as a senior sales representative and her vision for Homebase in the Vietnamese real estate market.
Could you go into more detail about what you do at Homebase?
I joined Homebase a year ago as a sales representative, but I was promoted to senior sales representative. I'm in charge of taking care of customers, getting potential leads, and getting clients to buy with us instead of leasing. Also, I take part in business development to help contribute to new projects and launch them into the market.
What are some difficulties you've encountered while working with clients?
There are many of them, honestly. Homebase is a startup with a very new model that is not familiar or typical to Vietnamese people. In Vietnam, people really care about property ownership and take it very seriously. When I first joined, I had trouble explaining to the clients about our ideas and convincing them to trust us.
What made you want to join Homebase?
What made me want to join Homebase was the product. I found the company through social media and thought the model was empowering to homebuyers, and it was such a great and novel idea. It would essentially change the Vietnamese market as we know it, and I wanted to be a part of that.
What's your favourite thing about working at Homebase?
My favourite part is Homebase's environment and culture. I don't think you can find another company with such a friendly and family-like environment. It's fantastic that you can ask anyone anything, from the interns all the way up to the founders. They would try to answer you to their best abilities.
What's a funny or exciting moment you've experienced?
We have team bondings every month and small meetings every day, so many great memories are made there. A moment I remember very clearly was during our daily standups. One of our co-founders told me to put the other co-founder's face on Slack- our working app. I did that, and he got me a coffee as a reward.
How do you see Homebase in the future?
After spending nearly a year working at Homebase, I strongly believe that we will become a protech leader in the markets in the future. We are still in the process of changing Vietnamese homeownership, and I believe we can achieve our goals sooner or later.
What is it like working as one of the senior members at Homebase?
It's exciting and challenging. Working in finance and real estate, we face new challenges everyday. At Homebase, you won't be sitting back. There's always something new to learn, and you always need to improve yourself to do better in the market, in helping the clients, learning trends, and acquiring skills to handle difficult situations.
